Relief for Typhoon Agaton

On April 10, the first major tropical storm of 2022 hit the country triggering landslides and heavy rains across Leyte and Iloilo. Through Next Gen Hope, the relief arm of Next Gen, the organization mobilized the relief efforts after the storm was hit.  As a team we were able to send 12,900 canned goods, 27,895 bottles of water, 30 boxes of rain boots, 100 water filter units, relief goods pack of 100 pieces each to Baybay, Leyte and each to Sara, Iloilo.

The first batch of relief efforts arrived left at 7:30 AM on April 15, Friday and arrived in Ormoc, Leyte, at 9:32 AM together with ready to eat food packs (RTE) were medicines including tetanus shots. On the same day, another plane was chartered to Iloilo with RTE’s and medicines to treat the injured victims of the landslides.
